Senior Geologist & Business Development Lead

About the Role
As a key member of Fortune Bay’s management team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our exploration and development portfolio. You’ll oversee technical programs, support field operations, and identify and evaluate new opportunities aligned with the Company’s growth strategy. This position is suited to a technically strong, commercially minded professional who enjoys both the field and the boardroom — and who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage exploration and geological programs, including target generation, drilling, data interpretation, and resource evaluation.
• Participate directly in ongoing exploration programs and operations, including site visits, field supervision, and coordination with contractors.
• Support project advancement, technical reporting, and permitting efforts in collaboration with consultants and regulators.
• Drive business development initiatives, including project generation, strategic partnerships, and M&A evaluations.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports, investor materials, and corporate presentations.
• Represent Fortune Bay Corp. with communities, partners, investors, and at industry events.
• Contribute to strategic planning and corporate growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in exploration, mining, or resource development.
• Registered or eligible for registration as a P.Geo. (or equivalent).
• Proven track record in business development, project generation, or strategic partnerships within the resource sector.
• Strong understanding of geological modelling, resource estimation, and exploration best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites as required.
